Donate to Philo Learning Foundation
Philo Learning Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating curiosity, independence, and real-world learning through hands-on, learner-driven education. Your support helps us grow meaningful learning environments that serve children and families in our community.
In addition to monetary gifts, we gratefully accept in-kind donations that directly support our daily programs. Our Amazon Wishlist offers an easy way to donate classroom supplies, outdoor materials, and farm-based learning tools that are used every day by our learners.
Current Projects
Outdoor Pavilion
We are working toward a covered pavilion built on a concrete slab that will serve as an open-air classroom and gathering space for daily learning, family events, and community experiences.
Movement & Challenge Area
We envision a thoughtfully designed playground and ninja-style obstacle course, along with a zip line, to encourage confidence, resilience, coordination, and healthy risk-taking.
Goat Playground
Our animals are an important part of life at Philo. We are creating an enriched play space for our goats using simple, durable materials that also invite learner involvement in design and building.
Transportation for Exploration
Experiential learning extends beyond our property. From farms and nurseries to local businesses and natural environments, field experiences are a core part of how our learners engage with the world.
We are seeking a reliable passenger van or transportation solution to safely and consistently bring learners into the community.
Materials & Support Needed
For these projects, we are currently seeking support in the form of:
Concrete slab sponsorship or installation support
Materials and labor for a covered pavilion
Playground and ninja course materials
Zip line materials and setup expertise
Tires of all sizes
Wooden boxes or crates
Playhouses
Large cable spools
Donation or sponsorship of a passenger van
Financial contribution toward vehicle purchase
Why It Matters
Each of these spaces will directly support the learner experience at Philo. The pavilion will create a beautiful and functional place for outdoor classes and community gatherings. The movement area will foster courage, strength, and perseverance. The goat playground will support animal well-being while giving learners hands-on opportunities to build, observe, and care.

Absolutely. Donating in honor of someone is a meaningful way to recognize a friend, family member, teacher, or colleague while supporting Philo Learning Foundation’s mission.
How it works:When you make the donation, you can indicate that it is in honor of a person.
You can provide the honoree’s name to include on the acknowledgment (the honoree will typically receive a notification that a gift was made in their name, without indicating the donation amount unless you request to share it).

A confirmation that a donation was made in their honor.
Optional: a personalized message from you (you can include a note that we’ll relay to the honoree if you’d like us to).
Tax documentation:
The donation will appear on your receipt for tax purposes, showing the amount and designation as a gift to Philo Learning Foundation.
If you’d like, we can:
Create a digital or printable acknowledgement you can give to the honoree.
Help you tailor the message or designation for the donation.
Provide a sample wording for a card or email to accompany the gift.
